%A Melo, Cristiane e Castro Feitosa %D 2018 %T The experience of natural insecticide in the school garden as a contribution to the teaching of geography %K %X This survey aims primarily to analyze the contributionof the production and use of natural insecticide in the garden of the public school, in the fight against the leafy ants (Saúvas)experience to geography learning by Basic Education (8th to 9th grades) students. This is a qualitative survey of ethnographic case study type. The study is structured into two parts. The first – Ecology and Awareness: ways to citizenship exercise – provides a retrospective of environmentalism inglobal and school policy policy, in which the work of geography was essential in sequentially combining the society of leaf-cutting ants by comparing it with human society to the present days. It also shows the Ways to the Survey: The Ethnographic Case Study . The second part – of the natural insecticide in the garden experiment at Nilson Holanda School – records the educational experiment developed in a public school in the municipality of Fortaleza.
