Education of geography, urban violence and its relationship with school space and graffiti
Abstract
The violence present in the cities is linked to the acts that happen in the school. Therefore, many everyday practices, said to be violent, present themselves as similar, is the case of graffiti. So, this article portrays a proposal for a qualitative approach to Geography teaching on three topics pertinent to the school studies: violence and graffiti. Based on these findings, a work of action research was carried out, materialized through a didactic-pedagogical intervention project, developed in a public school in the city of Campina Grande, PB. The results indicated that the project stimulated reflections and expansion of the students 'understanding of urban violence and graffiti, in addition to making possible Geography-daily relationship.
